Full time, permanent role

9am – 5:30pm Monday to Thursday and 9am – 3:30pm Friday

Salary circa £30,000 – £40,000 per annum + car + fuel card

Our client is looking for someone who is keen to work within sales who has an engineering mindset. You will need to be willing to learn specialist engineering processes and be able to solve customers’ issues supporting them from the office or even at site. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who works within engineering who would like to get into sales or someone who’s completed an engineering related HNC/HND/BENG.

Ideal candidate background

  • Engineering background, or HNC, HND, Degree in an Engineering discipline
  • UK Driving license
  • A candidate who’s happy to travel to customer sites which can involve national and (rarely) international travel
  • English speaker, confident, with good communication skills as you will represent the company at trade shows both UK and Internationally
  • Microsoft Office competent and have knowledge or be willing to learn CRM systems.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake extensive product training to reach a level of expertise to move into a Sales Engineer position (and future promotions)
  • Contributing to achieving the company sales targets and profit targets applicable to all assigned brands products on an international market.
  • Work with Sales Director on all projects from quotation to order closure and delivery at final site to understand and master the process.
  • Gain an understanding of commercial contracts and associated commercial documentation such as letters of credit and export requirements.
  • Working to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction in the products and services supplied by the company.
  • Understand how to produce accurate forecasts of business and market needs, with formulated travel and sales strategies to achieve sales targets.
