8am – 4pm Monday to Friday

£35,000 – £45,000 per annum

Exeter

Our client is a leading manufacturing business based in Exeter and due to ongoing growth of the business they need another Manufacturing Engineer to support one of their crucial business units. The ideal candidate will be someone who can develop automated manufacturing processes and also provide support within production cells which will include Automated cells, Assembly, CNC Production cells etc. 

Candidate background needed for role: 

  • HNC, HND or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering
  • 2 years current or previous experience working as a Manufacturing Engineer 
  • Good understanding of tooling and fixture design & conformance
  • Proficient in CAD

Key duties:

  • Design and deliver tooling and fixtures for manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and implement new advanced manufacturing equipment and automation.
  • Reduce costs and improve current manufacturing techniques. 
  • Providing support for manufacturing to improve existing processes.
  • Qualifying new products on existing manufacturing equipment
  • Creating supporting documentation for automated equipment (SOP and EMS) 
  • Create, verify, and release robot programs for automated cells 
  • Create, verify, and release programs for other, programable manufacturing equipment 
  • Support the identification and implantation of new manufacturing technology.
  • Responsible for program storage, data back-ups and revision control for manufacturing equipment 
  • Implement and support EH&S activities.
