Fixed Shift Pattern: Mon – Thurs (06:00 – 17:00) + Overtime @ 1.3x Rate readily available

The Company
A heavy manufacturing with a range of legacy and state of the art manufacturing plant are looking
for multi-skilled maintenance engineers. This role will provide a specialist technical support function
to the manufacturing plant through comprehensive reactive and proactive maintenance activities
accountable for maximising plant availability and adherence to PM schedules.
The Role

  • Directly responding to reactive works across the full variety of plant including mechanical,
    electrical, hydraulic and control engineering
  • Identifying and managing critical spare stocks whilst maintaining accurate records
  • Interpreting demand, communicating clearly with production, to ensure that priority is given
    to operationally critical works.
  • Positively liaising with internal stakeholders, contributing as a subject matter expert to
    improvement projects or technical solution-finding activities.
  • Ensuring all plant, works and maintenance activities are safe and meet internal/ external
    standards.
    The Candidate
  • Apprentice educated engineer with 3-5 years’ experience within a heavy manufacturing
    environment, preferably in a hot metal’s environment
  • Multi-skilled reactive skills with an electrical bias and experience fault finding on legacy
    equipment without written technical instructions
  • Strong working knowledge of core skills such as mechanical fitting, PLC controls and
    hydraulic/ pneumatic maintenance
  • Effective and confident communicator with experience in presenting technical proposals to a
    diverse population of colleagues
  • Flexibility to support out-of-hours works with notice and ability to work ‘on-call’ on a rota
    basis to support any significant major breakdowns.
