About the company:

An ambitious casting company based in Lower Lusatia is facing a significant period of growth, including potential acquisitions. Specialising in the automotive and truck industry, the company is preparing for expansion, targeting business growth of 20-30%. As the company plans to diversify its portfolio, it is looking for a dedicated and technically savvy Business Development Manager to lead it through this exciting growth phase. The company offers a clear mid-term progression path for high performing candidates, including the opportunity to progress into senior management positions as part of its strategic growth plans.

Role Overview:

The Business Development Manager leads the sales cycle and works with new and existing customers to drive business growth. This position is critical to the company’s expansion strategy and requires a professional who can combine technical knowledge of moulding processes and pricing strategies with exceptional relationship building skills.

Areas of Responsibility:

Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed the company’s expansion goals.

Develop new business opportunities while maximising existing customer relationships in the automotive and truck industry.

You will analyse market trends, develop competitive pricing strategies and identify potential areas for portfolio expansion.

You will work closely with the production and engineering teams to align business development strategies with operational capabilities.

You will regularly travel across the country to meet with customers and stakeholders, ensuring a strong presence and visibility.

You will support the growth and leadership of the commercial team and be a key leader within the organisation, reporting directly to the Managing Director.


Proven experience in business development, preferably in the foundry industry or related fields.

In-depth technical understanding of casting processes and market pricing.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to effectively influence diverse audiences.

Entrepreneurial mindset and a proven track record of driving business growth.

Willingness to travel regularly across the country to liaise with clients and improve business relationships.

Fluency in German and a good command of English.

Full driving licence and the flexibility to travel regularly.
