Monday – Thursday (6:00pm – 06:00am) Night Shift

£43,000 – £53,000 per annum (Subject to experience)

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all vehicle and equipment maintenance is carried out at the appropriate time and to the standard required by third parties including DVSA, LOLER etc.
  • Ensure handover information is conveyed effectively to the Workshop leadership team, in addition to all relevant stakeholders throughout the business.
  • Take responsibility for the quality control of all work completed by the overnight team, ensuring a high standard of work is achieved
  • Lead, motivate and engage the overnight team, enabling them to maximise their skill set.
  • Ensure all work carried out is in accordance with company policies & procedures, to a high standard and in line with best practice.
  • Assess and develop the overnight team, in line with the department’s training and capability matrix.
  • Carry out 6 weekly inspections to a high standard, ensuring all defects are identified and repaired, with a strong focus on ‘first time fix’.
  • Inspect and prepare vehicles for MOT, ensuring all vehicles exceed the standard required.
  • Diagnose faults on vehicles and ancillary equipment.
  • Carry out electrical repairs on a range of specialist commercial vehicles.
  • Repair ‘damage’ defects to a high standard with a focus on upholding our brand image.

Candidate Requirements

  • NVQ level 3 qualification relating to commercial vehicle repairs (Essential)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a commercial vehicle environment (Essential)
  • IOSH- Managing Safely certificate
