Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our team. As an experienced Mechanical Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling small wiring looms, small plumbing systems, and various mechanical components. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mechanical systems, along with a high level of precision and attention to detail to ensure the quality of the assembled products. Additionally, the ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines is crucial for success in this role.

Key candidate background needed:

  • Proven experience in mechanical assembly, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and assembly instructions.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools effectively and safely.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot assembly issues.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assemble small wiring looms, following technical drawings and assembly instructions.
  • Install and connect wiring harnesses and electrical components according to specifications.
  • Construct small plumbing systems, including the installation of pipes, fittings, and valves.
  • Perform quality checks on assembled products to ensure they meet company standards and specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any assembly issues or discrepancies.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while performing assembly tasks.
  • Document assembly processes and maintain accurate records of work performed.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency and productivity.

  • Working hours: Monday to Friday 7am-4:30pm
  • Holidays: 20 days holiday plus bank holidays (x3 days will be reserved so all employees have the Christmas period off)
  • Pension: 5% employee matched with 3% employer
