Salary circa £30,000 per annum

Lambs Green, Horsham

Our client is a leading supplier of vehicles and servicing of equipment ranging from 4 wheeled Electric vehicles, Combustion Engine vehicles to Hot Box Power Washers and electric assisted equipment.

They are growing rapidly and are looking for an additional engineer to join the team. Machines are mainly battery powered but there are some petrol and diesel machines.

They are looking for a technical individual with mechanical knowledge to support the current engineering team with the coordination duties, taking calls and speaking to clients for repairs and maintenance requirements, to manage the technicians’ diaries and book in jobs as required. The role will require an individual happy to pick up the tools and support in the workshop when necessary. 

Role in a nutshell will be looking after the small workshop, booking in and buying parts, making sure the workshop is as clean/tidy as possible and supporting the engineers where possible and doing pre delivery inspection of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hands on Mechanical engineering support of team 
  • Pre delivery Inspection of machinery 
  • Logging of serial numbers and adding machinery images to customer files.  
  • Workshop technical support when there is pressure for getting machinery out the door for delivery.
  • To manage the parts stock, transfers it on the system to van location and to oversee the ordering of replacement parts to maintain stock levels in warehouse. 
  • Self-motivated and responsible for accurate reporting and communication, to assist with engineer reports
  • Purchasing /ordering parts
  • Health & Safety
