Graduate Engineer
Due to company success and growth, a precision manufacturing client of ours have made a brand new role within the engineering department for a Graduate Engineer to progress into a Process Engineer looking at both manufacturing processes and methods. The ideal candidate will be someone who is enthusiastic about learning new and technical manufacturing processes.

Ideal candidate background
- Degree, Apprenticeship, HNC or HND in either Mechanical Design, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Production Engineering
- Passionate to work within manufacturing and be on both the shop floor and the production office.
- Keen to work with both traditional manufacturing processes but also learn and develop where necessary.
- Keep to continuously develop and build on existing design experience gained from college & university as this will involve a lot of New product introduction (2D & 3D Modelling plus running product simulations)
Graduate Engineer
Responsibilities you will develop:
- Identifying and resolving production issues on new and existing products, thereby achieving right first-time samples and reducing scrap.
- Working closely with cross functional teams (production, quality, H&S, operations)
- Developing and optimising manufacturing methods
- Utilising advanced simulation tools to model manufacturing processes (you will learn and develop in AutoCAD, SolidWorks and as a specialism your role will be within metal castings so the simulation tools you will be trained on will be magmasoft, Procast)
- Identifying and addressing potential integrity issues ahead of production
- Continuously evaluating and improving methods to increase efficiency and to reduce scrap waste
- Preparing detailed reports on casting simulations, integrity concerns and process improvements
